OnStage "Funknut & Miché Fambro"

Sun, 03/25/2012 - 7:00pm

Tune in for Funknut & Miché Fambro in this week's all new episode of OnStage.

OnStage, WXXI's original television and radio series that spotlights musical talent from upstate New York, continues its third season with Funknut & Miché Fambro on Sunday, March 25 at 7 p.m. on WXXI-TV/HD (DT21.1/cable 1011 and 11).

A little bit of Funk with a whole lotta Soul, Funknut is an organ based quartet with one mission: to bring Funk to the ears of men, women and children. Formed in early 2008, the group has played festivals, colleges, and clubs all over the east coast. Now in their third year, Funknut includes Tony Gallicchio, Tristan Greene, Joe McNinch and Joe Dellaria.  They have opened for, and played with artists like The Temptations, The Four Tops, Soulive, KRS-One, Paticle, and Break Science.

Miché Fambro

Whether he's writing a song, practicing a new flourish on the guitar, playing with a new approach to an old jazz standard, recording an episode for his "Guitar Lessons" online video series (stories, sketches, interviews, insights into what entertainers go through to entertain...), or strategizing next steps for his live Music/Variety project - the "Whadd'ya Say Show" - Miché is always fully committed, completely immersed, creatively propelled.

OnStage repeats the following Saturday at 12 a.m. on WXXI-TV/HD, and a radio version of the series will begin airing on WRUR-FM 88.5 and WITH-FM 90.1 in February.
