Classical Afternoons for August

Classical Afternoons for August

Weekdays from 2pm-7pm

Along the canal in Fairport on a summer night

Mona Seghatoleslami

"Last night the moon came dropping its clothes in the street. I took it as a sign to start singing." - Rumi, set by Philip Glass

We're still singing summer songs here on WXXI, through heat and cool, drough and occasional bursts of rain. Tune in to the radio when you can, and take WXXI along on your summer travels by streaming the station online.

I'll be there with music for the afternoons and evenings, except for a few days when I take a break to investigate some of that other music and ride rollercoasters. Other plans include triathlon training (!) and finding even more cool festivals, concerts, movies, plays and art to explore. Stay in touch on Facebook and Twitter, so we can discuss our favorite things going on these days.
