Julia Figueras welcomes upstate New York's premier new music ensemble and resident faculty ensemble at the Hochstein School of Music and Dance.
ensemble.twenty.21 joins Backstage Pass on Friday, October 26 at 1 p.m. on Classical 91.5/FM-HD 91.5-1.
Formed in 2006 by faculty from the Hochstein School of Music and Dance, Nazareth College, Roberts Wesleyan College and by members of the Rochester Philharmonic, ensemble.twenty.21 is committed to the performance of new music from the late 20th and early 21st centuries, from which it derives it's name. The members of the group have performed at the Eastman School of Music and its Women in Music Festival, National Flute Association Convention, BGSU New Music Festival, and Percussion Rochester in the 2011-2012 season.
Backstage Pass is a live, hour-long radio series that is committed to highlighting performing artists – giving Classical 91.5/90.3/FM-HD 91.5-1 listeners the opportunity to hear local and visiting musicians performing live. The series is made possible in part by a grant from the Gouvernet Arts Fund at Rochester Area Community Foundation. The program will repeat Sunday, October 28 at 2 p.m.on Classical 91.5.
