Mon, 12/17/2012 - 12:00pm - 1:00pm
What is the Electorial College and how does it work? Tune in to learn what it does and why it matters.
At Noon on December 17, in line with the requirements of the U.S. Constitution, the members of New York’s Electoral College will convene at the Capitol in Albany to vote for President of the United States. This historical event, which will be taped live, offers an excellent learning experience. The Senate gallery will be filled with middle school children and with the help of WXXI and other New York PBS stations, the event will be broadcast live to classrooms and homes across the state. The 2012 New York State Electoral College airs live from the New York State Senate Chambers on Monday, December 17 at 12 p.m. on WXXI-TV/HD (DT21.1/cable 1011 and 11).
