Now in it's fifth season, Carnegie Hall Live is a 13-week series from the 2015-2016 season, premiering on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. WQXR’s Jeff Spurgeon serves as broadcast host, presenting highlights and conversations with some of the world’s best performers and ensembles  in this specially-curated series from the Live! season.

Carnegie Hall Live welcomes the Budapest Festival Orchestra, the Vienna Philharmonic and Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra to its halls this month.  Plus, pianist Yuja Wang, who recently performed in Rochester with the RPO wraps up the month.

Sir Simon Rattle, opens Carnegie Hall’s 2014–2015 season in a thrilling concert featuring the Berlin Philharmonic and violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter.

Carnegie Hall's 125th season continues this month with performances by Bach Colleguim Japan, the Berlin Philharmonic, and the Philadelphia Orchestra.

A new season of curated programs from Carnegie Hall's Live concerts begins this month with the 2016 Opening Night Gala.

Carnegie Hall Live kicks off July with The Monteverdi Choir, and finishes the month with the National Youth Orchestra of the Unites States of America, which features two Rochester Musicians - violinist Helen Wong, and violist Martine Thomas.

"How do you get to Carnegie Hall?"  Tune into WXXI Classical 91.5 on Tuesday evenings at 8:00 p.m.  We start this month with an all-Beethoven program from the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and guest host Alan Gilbert, and we wrap up the month with Baroque music before Bach with Le Concert des Nations.

Usually the answer to "How do you get to Carnegie Hall?" is "practice, practice, practice."  We have a different answer.  Tune into WXXI Classical 91.5 on Tuesday evenings at 8:00 p.m.  We start this month with the New York Choral Artists and violinist Gil Shaham, and we wrap up the month with Beethoven and Liszt with pianist Daniil Trifonov.
