Richard Gladwell Update

Many listeners have been asking about Richard Gladwell's health and when he will be returning to With Heart & Voice.  WXXI Radio Vice President Jeanne Fisher and I went and visited Richard, and his lovely wife Claire, last week.  At our meeting it became very apparent that Richard will not be able to return to hosting With Heart & Voice. 
Richard has been diagnosed with brain cancer and this illness has left him unable to continue hosting the show.  You can hear a personal message from Richard's wife Claire at wxxi.org/whv/.  As Claire mentions, Richard is eternally grateful to each and every one of his listeners for all their years of listening and supporting the With Heart & Voice.  Richard is continuing, as his health allows, to share his knowledge and passion for the music, as well as his enormous record library, with substitute host Peter DuBois.  Everyday Richard and Claire read your cards and letters of support; words that encourage and sustain them.  You can continue to send your best wishes to Richard here at WXXI, P.O.
