Teachers' Union to Launch TV Ad Campaign

A major New York State union is going on the air with television ads to try to convince state lawmakers to continue a tax on the wealthy instead of adopting Governor Cuomo's billion and half dollars in school aid cuts.

A repeal of the current State

A repeal of the current State rebate for the Stock Transfer Tax would yield $16 billion. While Wall Street would make all kinds of threats, we all know, it would continue to do just fine after paying the tax.

In the short and long run, our State/country needs its education system more than a minimal tax on Wall Street.
