Special Election Set for 26th Congressional District

Governor Andrew Cuomo has set Tuesday, May 24th as the date for the special election in New York's 26th Congressional District.

Voters will elect a new member of the House of Representatives to replace former Rep. Chris Lee who resigned amid scandal on February 9th.

NY's 26th Congressional District stretches from western Monroe County to suburban Buffalo.

Republican leaders are supporting NY Assemblywoman Jane Corwin of Clarence, Erie County in her bid for the seat.
