Chinchillas first got together in the winter of 1985 at Del Pedro's place on Monroe Ave in Rochester, NY. They jammed a while, drank a few beers, thought it sounded good and decided to name the group "Pets and Small Children". They changed the name to "Chinchillas" shortly after. They moved practice to Bill Corbett's rented house in Mendon, NY and then to Paul's place in Pittsford, NY where they still practice today. After practice on Thursday evenings, you can find them at Thirsty's in the Village of Pittsford enjoying their favorite malt beverage.
