Backstage Pass: Chorus Novus
(Rochester, New York) – Backstage Pass host Julia Figueras welcomes Chorus Novus and an audience from Valley Manor to a live concert of holiday music performed at WXXI’s studios. Backstage Pass: Chorus Novus airs Friday, December 14, 2012 at 1 p.m. on Classical 91.5/FM-HD91.5-1. The program will repeat Sunday, December 16 at 1 p.m.
Chorus Novus is a Rochester-based choral group that sings a wide range of chant and liturgical music from the Catholic tradition. The group was formed in 2002 by members of the former Sacred Heart Cathedral choir in Rochester.
Backstage Pass is a live, hour-long radio series that is committed to highlighting performing artists – giving Classical 91.5/90.3/FM-HD 91.5-1 listeners the opportunity to hear local and visiting musicians performing live. The series is made possible in part by a grant from the Gouvernet Arts Fund at Rochester Area Community Foundation. You can also watch this edition of Backstage Pass online at: http://interactive.wxxi.org/backstage-pass.
