Purdue Christmas Show

(Rochester, NY) – Celebrate the holiday season with the Purdue Christmas Show, one of Indiana’s most time-honored traditions. Featuring a cast of over 250 student performers from various musical ensembles, the vocal and instrumental arrangements from the 2011 show will delight fans of holiday music and spirit! Purdue Christmas Show airs Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at 10 p.m. on WXXI-TV/HD (DT21.1/cable 1011 and 11). Wind down a busy Christmas day with family, friends, or on your own with this thoughtful holiday special.

A cast of more than 250 student performers from the Purdue Varsity Glee Club, Purduettes, Purdue Bells, University Choir, Heart & Soul, All Campus & Community Chorale and the PMO Kids Choir fill the campus' 6,000-seat Elliott Hall of Music with the sights, sounds and spirit of the holidays. The 2011 production features innovative storylines, humorous and touching theatrical moments, and elaborate sets and costumes. This year's set-list includes the holiday pop tune "All I Want For Christmas is You," a soul-inspired take on "Something Going on Down in Bethlehem," the traditional carol "Angels We Have Heard on High" and a crowd-pleasing medley of "Here Comes Santa Claus" and "Boogie Woogie Santa."
