Backstage Pass: The Eastman Guitar Quartet
(Rochester, New York) -- Host Julia Figueras welcomes The Eastman Guitar Quartet, a newly formed group based in Rochester, to Backstage Pass on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 1 p.m. on Classical 91.5/FM-HD 91.5-1. Members Adam Larison, Michael Mendoza, Kahlil Sarikey, and Sungmin Shin will play live in studio and share how the group formed and details about their work. The four are current graduate students at the Eastman School of Music. Individually, they have garnered numerous honors and awards as guitarists, and have performed extensively throughout the US and abroad.
Backstage Pass is a live, hour-long radio series that is committed to highlighting performing artists – giving Classical 91.5/90.3/FM-HD 91.5-1 listeners the opportunity to hear local and visiting musicians performing live. The series is made possible in part by a grant from the Gouvernet Arts Fund at Rochester Area Community Foundation.
