Johnny Mathis on Stage Notes
(Rochester, NY)— Described as "the best ballad singer in the world," three-time Grammy award winner Johnny Mathis joins host Robert Hammond for a special holiday edition of Stage Notes, Saturday, December 14, 2013 on Classical 91.5 at 12 p.m.
Mathis will talk about his vast career and about his new CD, Send You a Little Christmas. He rose to fame in 1956 with the release of two of his most popular songs, “Wonderful! Wonderful!” and “It’s not for me to Say.” Since then, Mathis’ pop, soul and jazz music has been featured in several motion pictures and television programs, including the film “Close Encounters of the Third Mind” and the more recent television show “Mad Men.” Mathis continues to perform his hit songs live today.
