A Woman's World: Women Composers of the Baroque

(Rochester, NY) – Pegasus Early Music presents a concert of women composers from the baroque era recorded live from the Downtown United Presbyterian Church in Rochester last November. You’ll hear music from various composers including: Barbara Strozzi, Elizabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, Francesca Cassini and Isabella Leonarada. Artists include: soprano Laura Heimes; violinist Dongmyung Ahn and Daniel Lee; Emily Walhout on gamba; Michael Beattie on harpsichord, and Deborah Fox on theorbo. Hosted by WXXI's Mona Seghatoleslami, A Woman's World: Women Composers of the Baroque airs Sunday, March 9, 2014 at 1 p.m. on Classical 91.5.
