Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra

(Rochester, New York)  – WXXI's Brenda Tremblay hosts a whole new broadcast season of the Rochester Philhamornic Orchestra. The 14-week 2013-2014 Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra series airs Mondays at 8 p.m., beginning May 5, 2014 on Classical 91.5. In addition to introducing the concerts, Tremblay also shares her interviews with guest conductors and soloists. 

Kicking off the season are two young, American, classical-music stars: 36-year old violinist Jennifer Koh (Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E Minor on Phils 1, September 26 and 28 at 8 p.m.) and 32-year-old pianist Jonathan Biss (Brahms’s Piano Concerto No. 1 on Phils 2, October 17 at 7:30 p.m. and October 19 at 8 p.m.). Other renowned guest artists include cellist Edward Arron, violinist Philippe Quint, and pianists Barry Snyder, Joyce Yang and Jon Kimura Parker
