Carnegie Hall Live

(Rochester, NY) - The seventh season of Carnegie Hall Live features the Opening Night Gala Concert with the Philadelphia Orchestra, with pianist Lang Lang and Chick Corea; the National Youth Orchestra of the USA under Marin Alsop; the Israel Philharmonic under Zubin Mehta; the Vienna Philharmonic under Gustavo Dudamel; the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra under Mariss Jansons; and more of the world's most esteemed artists. Carnegie Hall Live airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on Classical 91.5, beginning on May 1, 2018. 

Other upcoming highlights in this specially curated series include performances by the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia led by conductor Sir Antonio Pappano and featuring pianist Martha Argerich, and by pianist Daniil Trifonov and the Kremerata Baltica, featuring violinist Gidon Kremer and cellist Giedrė Dirvanauskaitė. Carnegie Hall Live is hosted by WQXR’s Jeff Spurgeon and John Schaefer, host of New Sounds and WQXR's newest program, The Furthermore.
