Black America Since MLK: And Still I Rise

Beginning with the 1965 assassination of Malcolm X, filmmaker and historian, Dr. Henry Louis Gates, takes viewers on a journey through the African American experience of the last 50 years. The series looks back at the most change-filled 50 years in American history. It features interviews with celebrities, leaders, and common people who lived through the times.

The Last Waltz

Hailed by critics as one of the greatest concert films ever made, The Last Waltz was a performance by the Canadian-American rock group The Band, held on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1976, at Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. The Last Waltz was advertised as The Band's "farewell concert appearance," and it featured more than a dozen special guests, including Bob Dylan, Paul Butterfield, Neil Young, Emmylou Harris, Ringo Starr, Ronnie Hawkins, Dr. John, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Muddy Waters, Ronnie Wood, Neil Diamond, Bobby Charles, The Staple Singers, and Eric Clapton.
